Billie Eilish Opens Up About Living With Tourettes Syndrome

The Singer Was Diagnosed When She Was 11 Years Old

Billie Eilish is opening up about what it's like to live with Tourettes syndrome.

In a new episode of David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction," the singer reveals that she was diagnosed with the condition when she was 11 years old.

"It's weird, I have tics," Eilish says in the episode. "I've always had tics. As a little kid, I would shake my head a lot. I would click my jaw... I would do all these things."

Eilish says that her tics have become more pronounced in recent years, and that she's learned to manage them through therapy.

"I've learned how to control them, but it's something that I'll always have," she says. "It's a part of me."
